Making HerStory

Making history, Tomi Rose, Sr. V.P. Sports & Entertainment Division at Opulence International Realty, is the first African American realtor to sell over $25 million in one fiscal year in south Florida in 2012. After building solid relationships and providing personalized white-glove service, Rose is the premiere global realtor to notables in the corporate, entertainment, film and television, music, sports and fashion industries.

Because of her relationships with titans of these industries, Rose enjoys direct access. Her past client lists include the late Michael Jackson, Juwan Howard, Brian Williams (CEO of Cash Money Records), Vivica A. Fox and actor Owen Wilson. Because she has a first-hand understanding of their needs, preferences and scheduling demands, Rose is able to deliver top-notch service to her top-notch clients.

The former Indianapolis Colts cheerleader has been called the “David Faulk of real estate” and considers it a great compliment. Whereas Faulk at one time represented at least one player on 25 of the then 27 national basketball association teams, Rose proudly states that her clients span across fifteen of the now 30 teams. Joining forces with Opulence International Realty allows Rose to provide an even more robust listing to her clients and to increase portfolios in the NBA, NFL, MLB & professional soccer markets. 2010 West South Beach in-house residential sales team was responsible for closing over $125 million in sales. In 2014 Rose was the first African American Realtor to ever list a $10 million property in the state of Florida.

Most recently, Rose lead the development team for one of the most luxurious condo projects in South Florida and received Forbes’ List recognition as the first African American woman to do so. She has over 41 million dollars in listings and has worked with more than 200 professional athletes and celebrities. She is currently working with Shaquille O’Neal (NBA), Timbaland (Music Producer), Samuel Eto’o (MLS), Willis McGahee (NFL), James Posey (former NBA), Luol Deng (NBA), Shabazz Napier (NBA Rookie), Danny Granger (NBA), Shaquille O’Neal, Mario Chalmers and Lebron James.

Rose is the breakout star of NBC/Style Network’s highest rated new show ‘Hot Listings Miami’. She has over 120,000 followers on @tomiroseone @teamtomi instagrams and over 5,000 on Twitter. Her book, “Why Shouldn’t Single Mothers Have it All,” is an example of the kind of forward thinking that begs success. Breaking sales records in Miami-Dade and Broward County and garnering numerous awards, clearly Rose and team dominate South Florida’s luxury market. When asked what her mantra is, the response is, “Go for it all.”
